Doctor Yves Depaepe is an orthopedic surgeon at AZ Jan Palfijn in Ghent. He specializes in performing operations on the shoulder and knee.

After his medical training at Ghent University, he specialized in orthopedics and traumatology. During these specialization years, he worked at AZ Jan Palfijn Ghent, Stedelijk Ziekenhuis Roeselare and UZ Ghent.

In 2009 he graduated as an orthopedic surgeon/traumatologist under the guidance of Professor Dr. R. Verdonk at Ghent University.

He subsequently specialized further in the treatment of shoulder and knee injuries at the Hôpital Ambroise-Paré in Paris under the direction of Professor Philippe Hardy.

During these courses he became proficient in arthroscopic (keyhole surgery) procedures and the most advanced techniques in prosthetic surgery.

Dr. Depaepe is the medical department head of the Orthopedics service in AZ Jan Palfijn.
